A cool coin and yet another example of our ongoing efforts to beat the numismatic bushes looking for things that you have not seen before.
We purchased this piece from a collector who had acquired it raw in the 1970s, submitted it to PCGS himself in the 1980s, complained about the too-low grade at the time but still kept it in this holder ever since (undoubtedly thinking that it would be a good fit for CRO one day).
And our prescient collector was of course right, since this is exactly the kind of lovely, lustrous, original, golden orange, old-holdered gold coin we always seek for the site.
Note that this coin has been verified by CAC with a Gold sticker indicating that it exceeds their standards for this grade level.
This coin is from the CRO archives and is not currently available for sale.
