Flashy & lustrous brilliant gold on this better date early $2.50 dubbed the "Unicorn Variety" by a collector friend of ours, due to the die crack coming off Ms. Liberty’s diadem (a fancy way of saying her headband).

While we’re on this naming kick we might also call this the "Tracks of My Tears Variety", due to the die break that runs from her eye down her cheek and to her lips.

But by whatever name, this piece looks miles better than the assigned grade to us.
