OK – so this is the most common date in the whole Morgan series, and often comes nice. 

So why did we buy this one?  Simply because this particular specimen is spectacular, with frankly ridiculous booming luster. 

As recently as two years ago coins like this were selling for about 1,500 clams, and so we think this one is a good value at today’s levels.
