While we’ve handled many august and expensive items though the years pedigreed to some highfalutin collection or other, I don’t think we’ve ever been more excited to find a coin at a show than this one recently spied in an unfamiliar dealer’s case at a major show.

Because this is certainly our favorite VF Barber Half of all time (or maybe VF anything), totally original, with lovely coin gray color, brilliant flash in the protected areas and heavenly blue and golden toning on the obverse and reverse.

Which once again illustrates the importance of looking everywhere for cool coins, since we never know who is going to come up with something CRO Archive-worthy.
