A fantastic coin with an even better “price spread” story. 

There is just a single coin graded higher as MS68 at PCGS, which you may remember for the considerable buzz it generated when it sold at the ANA auction in August, 2010 for (wait for it . . . wait for it . . .) $109,250.  And no, that is not a typo.

And while that was a very nice coin, this one is pretty darn nice too, extremely well struck (quite unusual for this date), with superb luster and lovely magenta and gold toning at the rims. 

In all, a fabulous piece and an even better way to save $105K.
